Carne Asada




Meat
1 tsp rock salt
½ tsp cumin seed
¼ tsp ground cloves
1 lb. flank steak

Sauce
6 med tomatoes, chopped
4 lg green peppers, chopped
6 med yellow peppers chopped
5 med onions, chopped
1 tsp salt
Juice of 1 lemon

Directions
Combine the rock salt, cumin, and cloves; rub into both sides of the beef. Pound the steak with mallet, working the seasonings in thoroughly. Let it stand to reach room temperature. Combine remaining ingredients in large saucepan; cook for about 30 minutes or until onions are tender. Grill or broil steak to desired tenderness; serve with sauce.
